Alresford’s dry cleaning and laundry service is now trading in its third decade and has become an essential and valued part of the community. We understand that people like to invest in good quality clothes and home furnishings and we take the utmost care with the goods that are brought in for cleaning. Each item is hand finished and checked for any marks or blemishes before it is carefully wrapped and stored, ready for collection.
Dry Cleaning
The solvent we use in the dry cleaning process is called hydrocarbon, an advanced medium which is virtually odourless and safe to handle. It presents no health risk and is environmentally-friendly. Hydrocarbon naturally produces a very soft feel to garments and is gentle on colours and even the most delicate of fabrics such as silk and wool.
We clean household items such as curtains, rugs and sofa covers as well as general clothing. We also care for a wider variety of garments, including military/airforce uniforms, dressage kits, hunting coats, wedding dresses and christening gowns. And even the weird and wonderful costumes from the Grange Park Opera!
We also offer a specialist suede and leather cleaning service.
Laundry
Our laundry service is appreciated by many customers who find items such as duvets, sheets and tablecloths too large to do at home. We also offer a professional ironing service for shirts. (They can be either placed on hangers or folded in protective slip covers to make them easy to pack for travel.)
Repairs, Alterations & Dressmaking
We offer an efficient service covering anything from a new zip, to more complicated work, which can be discussed in the shop to your exact requirements.
